Parthian Empire
Osroes II
AR (Silver) | Drachm | A.D. 190
| | 12h
$199.99
Silver drachm of Osroes II struck in AD 190.
This rare issue belongs to one of the final phases of Parthian coinage, produced during a period of dynastic fragmentation and regional autonomy. The ruler’s portrait, marked by the tall tiara with pellet ornaments, reflects a continuation of traditional Arsacid style, while the reverse with its bilingual and partially distorted legend illustrates the empire’s declining central authority.
